Summary
In many places, grid-wide power outages wreck havoc on households. Food spoils, laundry molds, and showers go cold. To combat this issue, people have started adding generators and large-scale batteries to their homes in hopes that they can create enough power to sustain themselves until the grid is restored. In a way, these people have created microgrid in their homes. This team worked with the Mantey household, who are concerned with maintaining power through frequent outages where they live.
